Scott Bush: Friend of ex-Windermere chief found guilty of child sex abuse

Scott Bush, the man whose child sex-abuse charges eventually brought down former Windermere Police Chief Daniel Saylor, was found guilty of sexual battery and other charges Thursday.

Bush was accused of sexually battering two young female family members, who are now adults.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that jurors deliberated for only about two hours, and the victims testified after the verdict was read.

"I feel like I don't want him to do to anyone else what he did to me," one of the victims said.

Later, Bush drew a rebuke from Judge Julie O'Kane when he told one of the victims, "Shame on you girls, for lying," the Sentinel also reported.

Saylor pleaded guilty to official misconduct charges last year. The charges stemmed from allegations Saylor interfered with the investigation against Bush, his friend.

Bush took the stand in his own defense Wednesday, repeatedly denying he had inappropriate contact with the girls.
