PHOENIX -

After two weeks of calling witnesses, the state rests in the trial of Jodi Arias. She's accused of killing her ex-boyfriend -- stabbing him 27-times.

Prosecutors called their last witness Thursday, a friend of Jodi Arias. She had dinner with that friend 24 hours after killing Travis Alexander.

"She was acting like Jodi, the same Jodi I always talk to," testified Leslie Udy.

Leslie Udy had a long talk with Jodi Arias that night, but she says Arias never talked about killing Travis Alexander. She called him her best friend.

"She said that they weren't together anymore, which I kind of already knew," said Udy. "That they would always be friends and they had joked and laughed about the fact that at some point further on, they would see each other at the prepaid legal events and their children would play together and be friends."

At dinner Udy's husband noticed a cut on Arias' hand.

"She said that she had broken a glass at work and cut her fingers," testified Udy.

Days later Arias called Udy crying to tell her Alexander had been found dead.

"She couldn't imagine who someone could do something like that to Travis, that he was such a wonderful person and why would anybody so that to him."

Defense attorneys say Arias killed Alexander in self-defense. They asked Udy to describe Arias. They'd been friends for two years.

"The person that I had known was a very quiet soft spoken gentle person."

Prosecutors then showed Udy naked pictures of Arias in bed.

Prosecutor: "You said you knew her, you see that photograph, do you know who that is?"

"That looks like Jodi," replied Udy.

Prosecutor: "Did you know anything about that? How about exhibit 164 who does that look like to you? Do you know anything about that aspect of her life?"

Udy: "No."

Defense attorneys say prosecutors didn't present enough evidence to prove this was premeditated murder. They asked the judge to take a felony murder count off the table.

The judge didn't rule on that Thursday, and will decide at the next hearing, which will be on the 28th.

Prosecutors say they did present enough evidence. They say Arias rented a car, turned off her cell phone, stole a gun -- proving premeditation.
