Brent Musburger: I Did Nothing Wrong By Ogling Miss Alabama

Posted: Updated:

TMZ - BCS announcer Brent Musburger stands by the fire in his 73-year-old loins -- telling TMZ, he's NOT SORRY for showering Miss Alabama USA Katherine Webb with compliments during the big game between Alabama and Notre Dame ... because he didn't do anything wrong.

After social media exploded over announcer Brent Musburger's wow-wee comments about the beauty of Miss Alabama Katherine Webb during ESPN's broadcast of the Alabama-Notre Dame national championship football game, the network issued this statement:

"We always try to capture interesting storylines and the relationship between an Auburn grad who is Miss Alabama and the current Alabama quarterback certainly met that test. However, we apologize that the commentary in this instance went too far and Brent understands that."

But when asked by TMZ if he thinks his comments about QB A.J. McCarron's GF were inappropriate when arriving at a Palm Beach, FL Airport,  Musburger made it clear "The answer is NO".
