One day after James Rosendall took the stand and testified for the government that Bernard Kilpatrick didn't do any work for the money he was paid on the billion dollar sludge hauling deal, he acknowledged meeting at restaurants throughout Detroit like Southern Fires, to strategize about how to sell his plan to city council.
Defense Attorney for Kilpatrick, John Shea, served up a little something himself: Receipts, invoices, and secret recordings, showing Rosendall double crossing Bernard Kilpatrick, lying to his bosses, and generally coming across as a pretty despicable deal maker.
Shea tried to carve up Rosendall's credibility by pointing out he spent 11-months in federal prison for bribing public officials.

Jurors are going to have three days to think about this testimony because of the long holiday weekend, which means prosecutors will really have their work cut out for them rehabilitating Rosendall when he comes back on Tuesday.
In the meantime here's what Shea had to say about today's testimony:
"There's always two sides to every story and you know you got part of the second side today and we're not done. And I think what you got today was a balanced, was more balanced than what you had yesterday."
