Police warn of increase in Grand Boulevard armed robberies

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -
Police are warning South Side residents to exercise caution after a recent string of recent armed robberies.
The robberies have occurred throughout the Grand Boulevard neighborhood this month, according to a community alert from Area Central detectives.
The robbers have been described as five black teen boys armed with a blue steel handgun and driving a white Cadillac Escalade or a black van, the alert said.
A 25-year-old black woman and a black man between 25 and 30 years old driving a blue Chevy Lumina are also being sought by police.
Anyone with information should call Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8380.
