TAMPA (FOX 13) -
Todd "MJ" Schnitt was on the witness stand Tuesday in the defamation trial against his radio rival, Bubba the Love Sponge Clem.
Schnitt testified about the increase in vulgar email he says started after Bubba came to the market around 2008. He told jurors he has spent five years as the target of verbal insults and attacked from Bubba's fans.
The jury saw many of the emails on a large screen.
Schnitt also talked about having to install a $15,000 security system after his house was egged.
MJ is suing Bubba for defamation, claiming Bubba's trash talking went too far by encouraging his listeners to harass MJ in public.
The trial entered its second week today, but should wrap up by Thursday. The judge says the courtroom is needed for another matter.
Proceedings resume at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
