A popular Atlanta barbeque restaurant is holding a fundraiser on Wednesday for two police officers injured in separate incidents on the job earlier this month.
Officer Osbert Beckles was seriously hurt when a suspected drunk driver hit his patrol car. A week later, police say a suspect shot Officer Reggie Robinson in the face during a foot pursuit.
Both officers are doing well, but their recoveries will be long.
"When you rely on extra jobs and things like that to pay the bills and supplemental income, and all of a sudden that's gone, that's very hard to recover from," said Patrick Apoian, President of Humble Heroes.
From 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Fox Brothers will donate 20 percent of its proceeds to the charity. There will also be raffles and a drawing, and the restaurant is also donating to the cause.
