ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
Cardboard artworks will be showcased with music, food and performances this weekend during the first Cardboard Art Festival in Orlando.
"I just was standing at my desk one day, and the words 'cardboard art festival' came into my brain," said Mark Baratelli, creator of TheDailyCity.com and producer of the Cardboard Art Festival.
"I also know a lot of artists that work with cardboard, so I knew I could put this together with their help."
Seven artists have created works that hang from the ceiling, stick to the walls or stand on the ground of a large warehouse space at 1121 N. Mills Ave. in Orlando.
The cardboard artists are Evan Miga, Jessica Earley, Brendan O'Connor, Christie Miga, Adriaan Mol, Doug Rhodehamel, Nathan Selikoff.
Admission tickets are $5 to the Friday-Sunday event, and a pop-up "ClandesDine Orlando" dinner Saturday night is $75.
