Stuck in bumper to bumper traffic? Need help getting around town? Depend on Katie Beasley, Good Day Atlanta's Transportation Reporter. Katie joined FOX 5 in 2013 and every morning she's ready to help you unwind Atlanta's traffic problems.

Prior to FOX 5, Katie was co-anchor of News 12 "First at Five" in Augusta, GA. She's also held the position of reporter/photojournalist and was part of News 12's award-winning high school football show. Katie's journalist skills have been recognized with three Georgia Association of Broadcasters Awards, one Georgia Associated Press Award and one Georgia Association of Broadcasters Merit Award.

So, why would Katie knowingly drive right into the infamous Atlanta gridlock? Well, its home! Katie grew up in Canton, where her family still lives. It was there that her passion for television news began to grow. She was even a co-anchor for her elementary school's news when she was in the fifth grade.
