CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
One more thing, about an epidemic of lying. That's what it seems like.
First came word that Lance Armstrong would confess at the alter of Oprah. Right after that, we heard about America's most popular imaginary girlfriend.
Lance Armstrong should be sending Manti Te'o thank you gifts every day for knocking him out of the headlines. For the rest of this week, we'll be watching the Notre Dame star defending himself in court Couric.
This recent outbreak of dishonesty may be one reason people are making such a big deal about Beyonce. There's more discussion over her performance of the National Anthem than President Obama's inaugural address. Maybe it's because we're just craving honesty this month.
Beyonce still hasn't commented herself, but many of her fellow performers have come to her defense. On Wednesday, Aretha Franklin, who sang "My Country Tis of Thee" live at the 2009 inaugural said Beyonce did a beautiful job with the pre-record. This silly story isn't going away anytime soon with Beyonce headlining this year's Super Bowl half-time show.
Maybe they should get Milli-Vanilli to introduce her.
