ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
Orlando Police have released a composite sketch of a suspect whom they say killed a family's pet dog during three College Park-area home burglaries Wednesday.
At about 11 a.m. Wednesday, police say the suspect burglarized three homes near the 200 block of W. King Street. During one of the break-ins, he killed a pet dog, they say.
"He was given as a Christmas gift to the children who live there, two years ago when he was a puppy," said Sgt. Jim Young, with the Orlando Police Department. "I don't want to get into too many details as to how he was killed because of the ongoing investigation, but it appeared to be pretty violent."
The suspect is described as a white man in his late teens to early 20s with a thin build and blond hair. He is thought to have been driving a newer model, four-door sedan, possibly a Chevrolet Malibu or similar vehicle. Police believe the suspect acted alone.
Anyone with information on these burglaries is asked to call Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
