SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -
A 57-year-old woman died after driving her SUV into the brick wall of a restaurant on Tuesday afternoon.
Police say Patricia Van Laeke was driving her Land Rover through the Applebee's parking lot near Shea Boulevard and 90th Street when she crashed into a brick wall attached to the restaurant.
Laeke was taken to a hospital with severe trauma and internal injuries. She died from her injuries on Thursday.
Police believe alcohol was a factor in the crash. Laeke also wasn't wearing a seatbelt.
