ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - Police in Athens-Clarke County say an argument over money for drugs caused a woman to smash a man in the head with a jar of olives.
The Athens Banner-Herald reports 49-year-old Tammie Elaine Johnson has been charged with aggravated assault. Police say they found the man she struck with the glass jar bleeding from a cut near his eye.
A police report says they victim told them Johnson was angry with him because he wouldn't give her money to buy crack cocaine.
The fight broke out at an Athens apartment complex Thursday night. Police say Johnson grabbed the olive jar from her apartment before hitting the man in the parking lot. It was not known if Johnson had hired an attorney.
