NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Two men from upstate New York are accused of stealing snowboards from Windham Mountain Ski Resort in Greene County, N.Y., State Police said.

Cops were on the lookout for a white Nissan Maxima when they spotted it on State Route 23 in Cairo and pulled it over on Sunday, January 27, 2013, police said.

Troopers determined the driver, Anthony Costa, 21, of Lagrangeville, N.Y., was driving while high on drugs, and the passenger, Adam Wiemer, 20, of Verbank, N.Y., had marijuana on him, police said.

Troopers searched the car and found a dozen snowboards that had been stolen from the ski resort earlier in the day, police said.

Authorities charged Costa with grand larceny and Driving while ability impaired by drugs, and Wiemer with grand larceny and marijuana possession.

They were arraigned in town court and are due back on January 30.
