The Amazing Amy Hosmer!
Amy Hosmer is an amazing young lady and everyone should get to know her.
Her grandfather says, "Be careful - she will steal your heart!"
So, what makes this precocious 11-year old so special? Well, all you have to do is listen to her speak and you will know why everyone falls in love with her.
Amy is battling brain cancer, for the second time in her life. She is going in for surgery tomorrow, yet she is bright and cheery. In fact, she was giving out silver bracelets to the staff during her visit to Good Day.
This morning, Amy and her father, Scott, spoke to Sheinelle Jones. While clutching her autographed picture of Taylor Swift (her favorite singer ever), she spoke of her love of music and faith in God.
"Taylor Swift is my inspiration. I love Taylor's voice."
Last Thursday, Fox 29's Stephanie Esposito got a chance to see this spunky singer-songwriter sign a record deal with a local recording company and record her first single! Amy says the song, titled "This Camp," is about a summer camp she attended at the Ronald McDonald House.
This morning, we were treated to a little bit of that song - it is quite good and will be available on itunes very soon! At the end of the Good Day interview, a surprised Amy was given four tickets to Taylor's upcoming show at the Wells Fargo Center. She was so thrilled, and very thankful.
We all have no doubt that Amy will beat the cancer. Fox 29 will keep up with her progress and keep everyone up to date.
You can support Amy's quest to meet Taylor by "Liking" her facebook page, "Help Amy Meet Taylor Swift" Facebook page." Make sure you also send her your thoughts and prayers.
