FOX 32 News is keeping an eye on the Chicago area's changing weather. It is a bit colder outside Wednesday. Due to overnight storms, there's also concern over flooding in low-lying areas.
The area saw a deluge of rain that lasted until overnight, and prepared for temperatures to drastically drop throughout the morning.
Spring-like temperatures reached record-breaking temperatures in the low 60s on Tuesday. Area residents were exercising in shorts and t-shirts as well as commuting to work or school in light jackets.
But the rain as the rain began to fall Tuesday afternoon, low-lying areas braced for flooding.
Businesses welcome those ducking in to avoid the rain, and those who needed to buy supplies to reinforce their homes.
FOX 32 continues to watch and see how the rain water will affect Chicago and suburban residents.
