Winter Blast returns to Campus Martius Park this weekend

DETROIT (WJBK) -
The 9th annual Motown Winter Blast will take place Friday Feb. 8 - Sunday Feb. 10 with a number of winter-time activities available.
Motown Winter Blast kicks off at 11 a.m. on Friday Feb. 8 and ends at 9 p.m. on Sunday Feb. 10.
Highlighted activities include: -Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Snowshoeing -Free Skating sponsored by Charter One Bank -Ice Skating Demonstrations featuring the Detroit Skating Club -Music Stages -Flagstar Bank Ice Garden -Greektown Casino-Hotel Taste of Detroit -Spent the Night in the City -Hockey Haven in the D -Great Expressions Hockey Shot Competition -University of Phoenix Learning Center Tours
Other attractions include Corrigan Propane comfort zones for warming up, Girl Scouts of Southeasten Michigan cookie van, fun science experiments for kids, Radio Disney, and the Meijer's kids stage. February 8 is National Girl Scout Cookie Day and attendees will have a chance to win Girl Scout cookies for a year. More fun items and prizes will also be available at the event, including a chance to win Red Wings gear.
Event hours and location are: Friday Feb. 8 and Saturday Feb. 9 - 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. Sunday Feb. 10 - 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Campus Martius Park 800 Woodward Ave., Detroit
