A Tarrant County jury sentenced a homeless man to 15 years in prison because he bit off another man's nose.
It's not the first time Christopher W. Harris, 37, has been sentenced for biting off someone else's body part.
The most recent sentence came from a case in January of last year, when prosecutors said Harris and another homeless man got into an argument while washing a car together.
The Tarrant County District Attorney's office says Harris grabbed the victim in a bear hug and bit him in the face, tearing off both nostrils and the tip of his nose.
Although the victim was rushed to the hospital, surgeons were unable to reattach his nose.
In 2001, Harris was sentenced to nine months in jail for biting a jailer's finger. And five years later, he was sentenced to five years in prison for biting off part of another man's finger, then chewing it up and swallowing it.
