ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
The night ends violently for two people who started the night out hanging together. Detectives with the Orange County Sheriff's office spent all of Saturday morning investigating the stabbing/shooting that happened on Ivey Lane.
They said the victim and the suspect were together in a friendly manner up until 3:30 a.m., in the area of Ivey and Gore, but at some point, the two parted ways, well that is until deputies say one person came back and stabbed and shot the other.
Detectives said the victim was walking down Ivey when the suspect, pulled up in a car, got out and cut the victim with a broken bottle before taking off. However, deputies said the suspect wasn't done because he came back a short time later around 9:45 a.m. and shot the victim in the leg.
The suspect was believed to have fled on a bicycle into a home in the 4500 block of Gore Avenue which is also believed to be his residence. Deputies arrived on scene and cleared the home, however the suspect was not found inside.
The victim was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, the suspect is still on the run.
