An Oviedo man has been charged with attempted murder after authorities say he confessed to stabbing his ex-wife with a knife.
Thomas Price, 58, was booked into the Seminole County jail just after midnight on Monday.
Deputies say 911 dispatchers received a call at about 9:04 p.m. Sunday about the stabbing.
Price and the victim, Maria Coschignano, 67, were living together in a home on East Palm Valley Drive.
"There's something strange about the place," neighbor Jim Williams said. "I just don't understand it. She said it was her husband, but I don't get it. He don't act like a husband."
Coschignano was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
In his arrest report, deputies wrote that Price moved in with Coschignano six months ago, after the two were apart for ten years. On Sunday, Coschignano demanded that he move out when she said her ex-husband came home intoxicated. According to investigators, Price reacted violently, stabbing her with a butcher knife, and then leaving the home. Deputies located price a couple of blocks away.
Price made his first appearance in front of a judge on Monday. He is being held without bond.
