CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
One more thing, about the super bowl commercial that was rated the best in most of the ad polls.
It was certainly the one a lot of Chicagoans loved best, including me, because we got hear the radio voice of mid-America again: Paul Harvey.
The moving two minute tribute to farmers had only one fleeting mention of the sponsor at the very end of the spot.
Paul Harvey originally delivered his "so God made a farmer" speech to the Future Farmers of America convention in 1978. A couple of years ago farms.com, an agricultural website, created a similar video using the same speech.
Hey, imitation is the most sincere form of----advertising.
Page two: Paul Harvey died four years ago. But it's nice that he's still reminding us all of the best of this country----the small town virtues epitomized by the values of rural communities, and small town America. And now you know the rest of the story.
