Westmont life coach helps kids develop through basketball

A Chicago man is helping kids as young as 3 years old to develop athletically and socially through basketball.
In the Paint Hoops was founded by former professional basketball player turned life coach Mike Robinson.
Robinson was drafted by Utah Jazz in 1981, and spent about eight years playing basketball in Europe.
In 2006, when he was working in the corporate world, his heart started calling me to do something he loved: Working with kids and making a difference.
In the Paint Hoops runs structured programs that promote discipline, skills, learning - things that kids learn in classrooms. Playing basketball with their peers supports what they learn in the classroom.
Parents have told Robinson that their kids enjoy playing so much, and that the structure supports what they try to do at home. They can't put a price on the value of the self-esteem Hoops activities inspire in their children.
