CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -
A Lincoln Park 7-11 store and a River North Dunkin' Donuts were robbed at gunpoint early Wednesday, police said.
The description of the suspect in both robberies was identical, but investigators were not sure if the same man robbed the two stores, said police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.
He is described as a man in his 30s who wore dark clothing and wielded a handgun, Alfaro said, adding that the man took off with an unknown amount of cash.
The first robbery happened about 2 a.m. at a 7-11 store located in the 2200 block of North Lincoln Avenue, police said. About an hour later, a Dunkin' Donuts in the 300 block of West Chicago Avenue was robbed, police said.
