CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -
A 43-year-old man was arrested Saturday morning after causing a disturbance outside the church where funeral services for 15-year Hadiya Pendleton were to later be held.
The incident happened in the 5100 block of South State Street about 8:45 a.m., police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez said.
Anthony Bradley, of the 7900 block of South Manistee Avenue, "became loud and verbally abusive in the parking lot adjacent to the chapel," according to Perez.
Hadiya's funeral was scheduled to start at 11 a.m. at the Greater Harvest Missionary Baptist Church, 5141 S. State St.
Apparently the man had complaints about the parking situation at the church and may have tried to park in a restricted area, according to police.
He faces one count each of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, Perez said. Hundreds of people, including First Lady Michelle Obama, Gov. Pat Quinn, Mayor Rahm Emanuel, and other dignitaries packed the church for the girl's funeral.
