The Tampa Bay Rowdies fell to D.C. United of the MLS 4-0 in their first match of the Disney Pro Soccer Classic on Saturday night.
The Rowdies hung around, keeping the match scoreless in the first, until D.C. United broke through in the 55th minute. The floodgates opened from there, as the Black-and-Red added three more goals, two apiece from Lionard Pajoy and Taylor Kemp.
Despite a scoreless first half, United looked the more dangerous of the sides throughout the match, controlling the tempo and pestering Rowdies goalkeeper Andrew Fontein.
The Rowdies next game in the Disney Pro Soccer Classic will be on Wednesday, January 13 at 3:00 p.m. when they take on the Montreal Impact.
