A group of males have been robbing commuters of their cell phones near the Red Line on the South Side since February, police said.
Commuters have been robbed of their cell phones and electronic devices on the Red Line train, platforms and buses between 55th and 95th streets, according to a community alert from Area South detectives.
The suspects are described as several black males wearing dark clothing, 15-22 years old and sporting short hair or dreadlocks, the alert said.
The suspects have attacked commuters with their hands and feet, the alert said.
