EWING, N.J. -

Emergency responders tell FOX 29 three people reported falling ill while inside of a ShopRite in Ewing, New Jersey Wednesday afternoon.

The ShopRite on the 1700 block of North Olden Avenue was evacuated as a result of the incident, which was reported shortly before 1 p.m.

A spokesperson for the Ewing Police Department says the three people, a 25-year-old woman, a 24-year-old employee and a 70-year-old woman all fell ill within a two and a half hour period.

As a result, the Trenton Hazmat team was called to the grocery store as a precaution.

Video from SkyFOX showed emergency responders in the parking lot as dozens of customers waited outside of the store.

Police say the market was working on its heating unit earlier in the day. Investigators took air readings and questioned store management but determined there were no problems with it.

The store was reopened after investigators determined the air inside was safe.
