We've all received a grade we didn't like, but now one recent college grad is ready to sue over her "C+" grade.
Grad student Megan Thode appeared in court Wednesday before a judge in Northampton County. The former Lehigh University student claims a professor robbed her of her dream job and cost her thousands of dollars after she received a C+ grade in a class.
Thode claims she got the grade after complaining about having to take an extra internship and for being an advocate for gay rights.
Her father told FOX 29 that they've tried everything possible to avoid getting to the lawsuit.
The university says Thode's claims are baseless.
In a statement, the university said: "We are defending the right of faculty to exercise their professional judgment as educators when grading students."
The university says while Thode received good grades in other courses, she wasn't ready to move on. The university claims she acted unprofessionally, swore and cried in class.
Earlier this week, a judge asked both sides to agree to a settlement and allow the 27-year-old to retake the course, however, neither side would comment on whether they were willing to accept.
