An Apopka woman was arrested and charged with DUI after authorities say she lost control of her car and struck a power pole early this morning, knocking out power to the intersection for hours.
Marcy Roebuck, 29, was the driver of a 2012 black Dodge sedan that struck a power pole on the corner of Orange Blossom Trail and eastbound Clarcona Ocoee Road at about 3:25 a.m., a Florida Highway Patrol report said.
Her car was traveling eastbound in the outside lane of Clarcona Ocoee Road and was speeding when it turned right onto southbound OBT, traveled onto the sidewalk and struck the power pole, troopers said.
The intersection was closed and traffic rerouted around the intersection as crews restored power and removed the live power lines dangling above her car.
Roebuck was booked into the Orange County Jail.
