White Sox GM settles in

Posted: Updated:

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - New Chicago White Sox general manager Rick Hahn says the job comes with new pressure.

Hahn says he didn't think his 13th year with the team at spring training would feel much different. But he says it finally occurred to him that there's more on his shoulders.

Hahn is an analytical, behind-the-desk systems and numbers cruncher who was also an agent. His first offseason since taking over for Ken Williams has been anything but flashy, with the free-agent acquisitions of infielder Jeff Keppinger and reliever Matt Lindstrom accounting for his biggest moves.
