A 25-year-old illegal immigrant was arrested Thursday for allegedly using a fake social security number to gain employment at a paper company.
Officers were contacted in October by someone who claimed they were denied disability because records showed they were employed at Bazzill Basic Paper. The person told police they never worked for the company.
Police contacted Bazzill and found four separate documents with the frauded person's social security number on them.
Guadalupe Arredondo-Montes was contacted on Thursday and officers arrested her after the information she gave matched the information on the Bazzill employment records.
Police say Arredondo-Montes admitted the social security number wasn't hers and that she used it because she was living in the country illegally.
Arredondo faces charges of taking identification to gain employment and forgery with a written instrument.
