As part of Black History Month, the U.S. Post office will pay tribute with a commemorative stamp. Postal officials unveiled the new Emancipation Proclamation stamp Friday at Morehouse College.
The stamp commemorates the 150th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln signing it into law in 1863. It's one of three new Civil Rights stamps scheduled for release this year.
The Civil Rights series also includes the Rosa Parks stamp and the March on Washington stamp, which will be released in August to mark its 50th anniversary.
