Britt helps William & Mary top Georgia State 75-63
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) - Brandon Britt led five players in double figures with 20 points and continued his hot-shooting streak in William & Mary's 75-63 win over Georgia State on Monday night.
Matt Rum added 16 points, Tim Rusthoven 11 and Kyle Gailllard and Marcus Thornton had 10 each.
Britt, who is averaging 19.5 points over the Tribe's last four games, hit 6 of 8 3-pointers and is shooting 66% (14 of 21) from deep in that span.
William & Mary (12-14, 6-9 Colonial Athletic Association) hit treys on its first three possessions en route to a 9-5 lead and pushed that advantage to as many as 16, 36-20, before going into the break ahead 38-27.
The Tribe shot 57.8% (26 of 45), including a season-high 12 of 18 shooting from deep, and dished out 18 assists for the second straight game.
R.J. Hunter had 15 points for Georgia State (14-15, 9-7).
