FOREST PARK, Ga. -
Two of the officers arrested in a year-long federal probe were sergeants at the Forest Park Police Department. Authorities accuse Sgt. Victor Middlebrook and Sgt. Andrew Monroe of protecting drug dealers for cash. Forest Park Police Chief Dwayne Hobbs tells FOX 5 he is concerned about the impact the case will have on his department.
Chief Hobbs leads a force that has been shaken by the corruption charges. As a 40-year veteran of the force, he hopes its record of stable leadership and the department's work in the investigation of its own officers will help its morale and reputation now.
