Posted: Updated:

The U.S. Postal Service has announced it will be launching a clothing line.

In a release posted on its site, the Postal Service has entered into an agreement with apparel company Wahconah Group, Inc. to introduce "Rain, Heat & Snow" brand of apparel and accessories. They the clothing as "wearable electronics." For example, people could plug their headphones right into their jackets.

First up will be apparel for men, with future lines planned for women.

The release says the goal is to sell the clothing in "premiere department and specialty stores."

According to an Associated Press report, the U.S. Postal Service lost $15.9 billion last year, and may cut Saturday deliveries.
