Orlando police arrested three more people this week in connection to a September home invasion in Ocoee, which resulted in the death of 19-year-old Alex Zaldivar.
The witness-tampering trial of the mother of a man accused of murdering a witness set to testify against him begins today in an Orange County courtroom.
Catalina Ruffin-Sinclair went to the Ocoee home of Alex Zaldivar and tried to bribe him with offers of a car and cash so he wouldn't testify against her son, Bessman Okafor, according to police records.
Brienna Campos and her brother were also shot but survived.
Meanwhile, the Orlando Sentinel is reporting that Okafor broke his home confinement curfew more than 100 times during a 10-week period, including the night he's accused of killing Zaldivar.
Orange County Corrections is investigating why no one notified a judge about Okafor's violations, the website said.
