TAMPA (FOX 13) -
Investigators say fireworks were the cause of a two-alarm blaze at a Tampa recycling facility that sent smoke billowing into the air that was visible for miles.
It happened at the One Steel Recycling facility on Port Sutton Road Monday morning.
It took crews from multiple agencies more than 19 hours to put it out.
The fireworks ignited when the container they were in was processed for recycling, investigators said.
Witnesses reported seeing smoke from the massive fire as far away as St. Petersburg,
No one was injured; the fire was classified as accidental.
