DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
Daytona International Speedway reached back into its own history on Wednesday to rename one of its July races.
The Sprint Cup race, now called the "Coke Zero 400," was called the "Firecracker 400" for decades until the brand was abandoned in the 1988.
Daytona Speedway officials have announced they are bringing back the boom! Starting this year, the July Nationwide race at Daytona will be called the "Firecracker" Subway 250.
