Annabeth Barnes is pretty, young and a terror on the track. The comparisons to Daytona 500 pole sitter Danica Patrick are natural.
At just 17, Barnes has already won more than 200 races, if you start counting when she began racing go carts at age 6. No matter how you look at it, Barnes seems poised to be a racing star one day.
In 2013, she's driving a Toyota for Rev Racing in NASCAR's Whelan Late Model Series. This week she's at Daytona supporting her teammates racing in the speedway's debut Battle at the Beach lower division races on the new short track.
FOX 35's Tom Johnson caught up with Barnes to talk about expectations now that the spotlight is shining so brightly on women NASCAR drivers.
