A downtown Orlando restaurant is bringing a European lunch hit here -- with a twist.
The Fifth restaurant and lounge is hosting a dance-floor lunch hour every third Thursday called Throwback Thursdays.
It's "just cut loose a little bit during the middle of the day," said The Fifth owner Jeff Gitto.
The craze debuted in Switzerland, where it was called the Lunch Beat, according to Gitto.
"We took the idea from Europe here at The Fifth," Gitto said. "But we did a little twist. If you dance during lunch, we'll give you half off your entire tab."
Today's Disco Lunch kicked off The Fifth's Throwback Thursdays. Every month will feature a different musical genre, Gitto said.
