At this gym, there is no cheating. A heart monitor keeps tabs on you and the trainer can see it all right on the screen. Each person is in a different color zone on the screen, depending on how hard they're working out.
"We're talking about five different zones and the orange zone is about 85 percent of your max, that's considered uncomfortable," explained Troy Taylor, the Regional Director at Orange Theory Fitness in Tampa.
According to these trainers, staying in the orange zone helps you burn 500 to 1,000 calories per workout.
"Come on people, here we go, let's lighten the load right now. Think about your goals for 2013," Troy tells the class, as he pushes them forward.
Even after the workout, you'll burn an additional 200 to 400 calories in what they call the "orange effect". Lindsey Morgan said she's living proof that this workout works -- She's lost 90 pounds since June.
"Ninety pounds and going, Orange Theory Fitness is the place to be!" she said.
Lindsey won $500 as part of the Orange Theory Fitness weight loss challenge.
"I feel incredible. I have never felt this good in my life," explained Lindsey, who has come a long since joining last June. "It's been a really fast, fast transformation and it's absolutely amazing. I'm astonished with what my body can do that I never thought I would be able to do."
Lindsey is now encouraging newcomers like Manon Laqua.
"My first visit and I loved it," she said, "The fact that you can see your heart monitor and the end you see your result, is very motivating."
There is no time to rest during this workout.
"It is intense!" said Luke Paltoo.
The carefully-choreographed combination of cardio and weights keeps calories coming off every minute.
"My face is one big picture of agony when I'm in there, but the rewards that you get afterwards, from feeling good and knowing that you did something positive for yourself, is the best feeling in the world," he said.
Lindsey said that anyone can keep up with the workout, adding "I started here when I was almost 300 pounds and every single thing that we do in that gym I could do at 300 pounds."
The monitor is a great motivator because you can see the results right there in front of your very own eyes.
"I burned 473 calories, so I'm really, I'm really happy with that," Manon said.
Troy added, "I've been a personal trainer and a coach for the past 30, years and what I've seen in this class, you can't see anywhere else."
"I've lost four inched off my waist, when I first started I was a 38, now I'm a 34," said Luke.
It helps prove the validity of this "Orange Theory."
Luke said, "It's the best decision I've ever made since I moved to Tampa."
This fitness craze is providing a rainbow of results that you can see on the screen and in the monitor.
"Absolutely, one hundred percent, this is the most effective workout anywhere," Lindsey says.
