Alpharetta DPS holding police candidate testing

ALPHARETTA, Ga. -

The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety is holding tests to create a lists of eligible candidates for police officers.

The applicant testing process is open to both to both uncertified applicants and certified applicants, the department says.

While the department does not currently have any openings, they do anticipate some possible open positions in the near future.

The agency is also looking for five candidates for the police reserve unit. Those positions are unpaid, but the agency does pay to attend Reinhardt University's Public Safety Institute police academy in Alpharetta.

Applicants must take the physical agility test and written test to be considered for employment.

The next testing period will begin on Saturday, March 30 at 8 a.m.

All applications must be received in the Office of Professional Standards by March 15, 2013 at 5 p.m.
