Students at a Kirkwood charter school now have a new imaginative playground.
Dozens of volunteers from Verint Systems joined parents of Ivy Preparatory Academies to build the playground as part of a community outreach program.
It's a playspace concept that has giant tinker toys. Kids can change to design their own environment. It also features swings and slides.
Crews designed the new playground based on students' drawings.
Verint Systems donated nearly $100,000 to make it happen.
