Vending machine removed from DC neighborhood after it was dispensing alcohol

Posted: Updated:
WASHINGTON -

Police have removed a vending machine from a D.C. neighborhood after it was dispensing malt liquor and other beers for $3 each.

The machine was outside an apartment building in the Trinidad neighborhood of Northeast D.C.

Police received a tip about the machine from a concerned neighbor who didn't want to see underage kids get their hands on the alcohol.

Police do not have any suspects.

D.C. law prohibits the sale of alcohol without a license.
