Self-Proclaimed 'Gingerbread Man' Arrested By Lansdale Police

LANSDALE, Pa. -

Lansdale police have arrested a 21-year-old man who they say was wanted on felony drug charges.

The case against Gross began in October of 2012, when police say they determined that he was selling cocaine and a prescription medication.

An arrest warrant was issued in December, but Gross managed to elude police.

After two months, police reached out to the public for their assistance in locating Gross. On Feb. 20, Gross posted a message on a social media site taunting police and referring to himself as the "gingerbread man."

Two days later, Gross told police he would turn himself in.

But on Feb. 25, police located Gross in an apartment complex in Lansdale. When officers approached the vehicle, Gross fled on foot. While fleeing, Gross allegedly threw bags of heroin onto the ground. The baggies were later recovered by police.

Police arrested Gross, and he's charged with multiple drug possession counts and avoiding apprehension.

He is currently in jail on bail set at $25,000.
