PHILADELPHIA -

Several airport workers testified in Philadelphia City Council chambers to ask for assistance Thursday.

The workers claim they aren't being paid a living wage and they say they can't afford to feed their families.

In response, city council members passed an extension to the city's living wage law to include airport workers.

The law requires companies that have contracts with the city top ay workers one-and-a-half times the minimum wage.
