Soldier surprises daughter at Orlando school

ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

Corporal Jones has been serving for the past seven months in Afghanistan, which means his daughter has spent her entire year in first grade without seeing her dad. But today, she got quite a surprise.

Little 7-year old Jilleena couldn't remember the last time she saw her dad.  "A long time," she said.

Like many students at St. Andrew Catholic School,  Jilleena has helped pack many boxes for soldiers stationed overseas, but she probably wasn't ready for what was inside a large care package marked simply with "God Bless America."

The teacher asked Jilleena to open the box, and out popped her father, who was hiding inside.

Cpl. Jones is in his second tour of duty in three years and has volunteered for both tours.
