Sixers' Bynum Suffers Another Setback

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

The Sixers were handed their seventh-straight loss last night against the Chicago Bulls.

And it seems like they're getting comfortable in the Atlantic Division's basement.

The team practiced Friday and, yet again, Andrew Bynum was not part of the festivities.

Last week, he finally participated in a team scrimmage. But as Doug Collins noted this week, "he looked like a guy who hadn't played in nine months. I don't think any bells and whistles should be sent off that he's close to playing."

After today's practice, Bynum agreed, saying, "Now, it's getting – it's getting really late, so I really don't know."

So, Bynum said he was absolutely certain he would play this year. That was last week. And now he's not sure.

Bynum said his right knee – the one he originally hurt – is still swollen from 5-on-5 activity last week.

The Sixers have a major decision on their hands. After the season, do they bring him back, or cut him loose?

One of TNT's broadcasters weighed in on the topic during last night's Sixers-Bulls game.
