New Website Launched To Aid Philly Job Seekers

Posted: Updated:

Job seekers in Philadelphia now have a useful online tool to help them reach their career goals.

Philadelphia Works, a leading workforce development organization, announced the launch of their newly re-designed website on Monday. The renovated site is the first of its kind in Philadelphia, providing job-finding resources and information to residents of all ages, education levels, and skill sets.

According to the organization, the site will operate as an online companion piece to PA CareerLink Philadelphia, which provides free consultations, workshops, and access to job training funds in four centers throughout the city.

"A 21st century job market requires a 21st century approach to finding and receiving training for a job," Mark Edwards, the President and CEO of Philadelphia Works, said.

Visitors to the site will enjoy features like the Resume Builder tool and reports on hiring companies in Philadelphia. They will also see over 150,000 statewide job postings through the PA Job Gateway Portal.

Philadelphia Works officials hope the website can build on Mayor Nutter's "No Wrong Door" policy by providing a centralized location for everything a person needs to get connected and find a job.

The new website can be accessed here.
