OCALA (FOX 13) -
Detectives have
released details about a horrific crime in Ocala. Police say a pregnant woman
was stabbed more than 30 times by her boyfriend's uncle.
Samuel Cone was
arrested at the scene and taken away in handcuffs. Detectives say when they
handcuffed him, he told them, "I'm sorry for all of this. They took all I had."
Detectives say the
stabbing was likely over money. Cone is being held in the Marion County Jail
without bond.
The victim, 40-year-old
Jill Feingold, is 22 weeks pregnant. Cone, who is charged with attempted second
degree murder, allegedly used a filet knife in the stabbing.
She was taken to Shands in Gainesville. She and her unborn child remain in
critical condition.
